Terre delle Baronia White - Milazzo

The 'Terre della Baronia' Bianco wine announces itself with a calling card made up of variegated aromas, from which emerges a beautiful reference to the Mediterranean maquis that dominates the landscape of the Sicilian island. Just like this bottle, in which Catarratto stands out as the protagonist of a sip with identity, flowing on the palate with ease.The "Terre della Baronia" Bianco comes from the pure use of an indigenous white grape variety that is widely cultivated in Sicily, Catarratto. Grapes of this variety are cultivated by Milazzo using the guyot method in vineyards within the Garcitella area, in nine different, highly suitable areas. The terroir is characterised by a marly subsoil with abundant clay and limestone components. Once the grapes are harvested in mid-September and taken to the cellar's vinification rooms, they ferment alcoholically in steel, and then continue to mature, again in steel, for a few months, until the bottling operations begin.This "Terre della Baronia" white wine announces itself to the eye with a typically straw-yellow colour, crossed by light reflections tending towards greenish. The aromas that envelop the nose are subtle, and present floral and fruity notes, also enhanced by light nuances reminiscent of Mediterranean herbs. In the mouth, it is light-bodied and flowing, with a drinkability characterised by a pleasant freshness.
