Rum Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva (Canned) - 70cl

The history of this Rum dates back to around 1800, when Don Juan Nieto, a liquor enthusiast, started a collection and called it “Ambassador's Reserve”. Such was his passion that he decided to throw himself headlong into the world of distillery, trying to create something for himself and others. Today, Distilleria Unidas produces this now emblazoned rum in a small town in the state of Lara, where 80% of all the sugar cane in Venezuela is produced. Diplomàtico is made from a blend of 60 different types of rum (!!!!!!) and, precisely because of its complexity, is aged for 12 years. A further note of merit: the water used for distillation is pure water from the Andes, obtained from wells at a depth of about 50-60 metres, and the final distillate is not added with anything except a very small quantity of caramel.
