Amaro Monte Polizo - 1.5l

Amaro Monte Polizo is made from a unique blend of 30 herbs and spices from around the world for a unique taste that derives from the constant use of the original recipe, which has survived to this day. All 30 bitter herbs and roots, of which the main ones are sweet Sicilian oranges, bitter Curaçao oranges, star anise and cardamom, are clinically selected, weighed, reduced to powder for flavour extraction, following strict monitoring and analysis procedures. The resulting extracts are mixed with alcohol and caramelised sugar.

The recipe is still the same and secret, continuing its course today through the use of the most contemporary production techniques. Monte Polizo is the name of the vast territory that towers over Salemi, symbolising the deep sensory bond that binds it to the truest Sicily. The Alicia Liquori company was founded in November 2003 by the brilliant idea of oenologist Vincenzo Distefano, who courageously left his free profession to found what would now become his pride and joy. Alicia Liquori was born on the slopes of Monte Polizo, the site of archaeological excavations that, thanks to a number of findings, attest to the existence of an Elymian settlement dating back to the Iron Age (9th-10th centuries BC).
