Italian oranges combined with a selection of ripe Sicilian blood oranges are blended with the finest botanicals and hand-picked juniper to create a gin with a juicy, vibrant flavour. Strictly Sicilian blood oranges harvested in November give the Malfy family's orange gin a refreshing, bittersweet citrus flavour accompanied by an explosion of orange blossom flavour and delicate juniper notes that enchant the palate on the finish. Thanks to the cylindrical opalescent glass bottle with a stopper made of fine Italian oak, the eye is captured by the dark ruby red colour of this precious distillate while the sense of smell finds, with every taste, a mix of the bitter and sweet citrus of the orange that is hard to forget. Malfy Gin con arancia is produced by Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, a distillery founded in 1906 and run by the Vergnano family. Thanks to the passion of master distillers Beppe Ronco and Denis Muni, it boasts an innovative vacuum distillation process that respects the tradition of the Benedictine monks of the 11th century who were the first to discover the enchantment of flavours originated by the combination of alcohol and juniper berries for medicinal purposes. The freshness of Malfy is achieved through innovative vacuum distillation, which, thanks to a temperature of 60\u00b0C, guarantees an evaporation that does not alter the composition of the 9 botanicals used in Malfy Gin with orange, which keep intact their flavour that would otherwise be degraded by the intense heat. The citrus fruits are then added to the botanicals, first soaked in alcohol and then pressed with a traditional press and distilled with Tuscan juniper berries.
